4 miles with 4 x 100 S
Weather: perfect
Mood: better than perfect
Pace: an easy 7:30
Company: Robbie Kahl, via rollerblades
This should have been the night I ran the marathon. Of course, the marathon is in the morning, and I'm no where near ready. All that aside, I would have dominated. The breeze was just so, the night was so fresh. I was sweating with anticipation before the run and the miles just flew. I stopped several times so that Robbie could catch up at the top of hills. I could have left him in my dust. I could have left anyone in my dust. Tonight I was a Kenyan, untouchable. I could have beaten Pre, except for that he wouldn't let me.
But that doesn't concern me one bit. I ran easy. I ran well. Really well.
